The Zuiderkerk and surrounding city of Amsterdam (Sint Antoniesbreestraat in the Lastage, present day Nieuwmarktbuurt.) From: the second edition (first 1693) of 'Beschryvinge van Amsterdam.', 1726, one of the best 17th. century descriptions of Amsterdam, based on the works of Dapper and van Domselaar and on materials furnished by the author's father Isaac Commelin. Casparus Commelin had access to the archives of the city and thus considered more reliable than Dapper/Domselaar.Artists and Engravers: Anonymous.Condition: Very good, given age. Short right margin, remargined for handling. Not effecting image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. In 2018 he decided to further develop his personal collection through 'Pictura Prints'. Peter has a background in design and landscape architecture and holds a degree in paper restauration. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL.
