Arnulf Rainer - Signed, Work Designed for Exhibition Kunsthalle Bremen - 1986 - professionally framed

This original signed offset lithograph, designed for the Arnulf Rainer exhibition at Kunsthalle Bremen (11 May - 29 June 1986), is a striking example of Rainers expressive and gestural style. The offset lithograph is signed in blue at the top center, further enhancing its authenticity and collector's value. As a rare exhibition poster created by the artist himself, it serves as both a documentation of his legacy and a compelling visual statement *** Professionally framed, under custom-cut, thick acid-free passe-partout, in a high-quality, handcrafted wooden frame with PLEXIGLAS Optical HC, scratch-resistant and UV-protected. Framed approx. 80 x 60cm *** The artwork features bold black-overpainting (Übermalung), a signature technique of Rainer, where intense, chaotic strokes of charcoal and paint transform the surface into an emotional and dynamic composition. The rough, almost aggressive lettering emphasizes the raw energy that defines his work. *** Arnulf Rainer (b. 1929) is an Austrian contemporary artist known for his radical overpaintings (Übermalungen), a technique in which he obscures, defaces, or transforms existing images through intense layers of paint, charcoal, or mixed media. Emerging in the 1950s, his work initially aligned with Informalism and Abstract Expressionism, but he later developed a highly personal and expressive visual language. *** Rainer s art challenges the boundaries of abstraction and destruction, often incorporating photographic self-portraits that he overpaints with distorted gestures, creating works that feel both spontaneous and deeply psychological. His work is exhibited in major institutions worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Albertina in Vienna. ## SHIPPING : Worldwide shipping available ## # CONDITION : artwork and book are in very good condition ##.…
