Original colour lithograph. 40 x 27 cm (15.75 x 10.6 inches). Very Good. Minor foxing along right edge, not affecting image. Lithograph laid-in within four pages from issue dated 8 Feb 1900, including letterpress biography of subject. Vincent Brooks, Day & Son (Lith.). Scarce.George Denison Faber, 1st Baron Wittenham, CB, DL (14 December 1852 - 1 February 1931), known as Denison Faber, was a Conservative Party politician in the United Kingdom. Faber was the second surviving son of Charles Wilson Faber (1813-1878) a director of the Great Northern Railway and the nephew of Lord Grimthorpe. He was the brother of Edmund Faber, 1st Baron Faber, and of Mrs Edward Kennard (1850-1936), a novelist. He was educated at the University of Oxford, where he graduated BA, and in 1879 was called to the Bar at Lincoln's Inn. From 1887 to 1896 he acted as Registrar of the Privy Council.

Shipping Costs: For books within the US: Ground UPS $8 for first volume, $4 for each additional volume. Heavy volumes cost more. Prints and posters $20.00 for 1-3. Most foreign shipments by airmail are $17.00 up to 1 pound or $60.00 up to 2.2 kilos by courier. For all other shipments, please inquire.
UPS shipments are insured for $100.00 automatically. Higher amounts available. If merchandise is damaged in transit, customer must save shipping container and file a claim with UPS or other carrier. Do not return merchandise without having first filed the claim and received a return authorization.
