Broadside condemning the PLUNDER of the public money by one "Whig" family (Later the Tories) The list of 20 members of the Chancellor's family with all their "perks" and munificences laid out and displayed. Amounts to a total (in this period of an average wage of 5-15 shillings per week) to �171+ thousands. The broadside is damaged with loss at top and part of heading lost , the main "Public Plunder" eye catcher is mostly there, the paper is wrinkled and creased and a bit grubby. Measures 20 x 13 inches (50 x 33 cm) *The row it seems is the money allocated to the Chancellor/First Lord of the Treasury by Beaumont and Ord for his Earlship to travel to Russia and then across Siberia with a large retinue of his family members. (I'm so glad nothing like this happens today). Anyway I'm quite sure he felt suitably ashamed and decided not to go, or take such a large retinue. The Emperor is called a "Miscreant". Another unfair appellation I'm sure! Grey was Chancellor in 1830, dated this to 1832, possibly a year earlier?. Seller Inventory # 8478
