About this Item

From Ackermann's Microcosm of London here is a hand coloured aquatint, J. Bluck was the engraver, Rowlandson and Pugin the designers/artists. Measures just under 11 inches x 13 inches, 29 x 32 cm approx. Unframed and a single image from the book. Some light browning around plate borders. Original and not a later copy. Very Good, colouring bright.

We have been operating on and off since 1977 and our stock is varied, leaning towards antiquarian and 19th century with the addition of original aquatint and lithographic, or woodcut engravings. Also maps and Ephemera - in fact, anything interesting on paper really. We have in stock every item we list. We do not use stock photographs, but photograph each item individually. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
