Circa 1880, white card, 138 x 80 mm, 5� x 3 inches, printed in colours and gilt, with elaborate gilt and pink border. The illustration shows a boy and a girl in period costume looking at a bird's nest, "Marcus Ward & Co" printed in tiny letters in the lower white border. Caption: "A Merry Christmas to my Friend". Blank verso slightly browned with faint traces of glue. Otherwise a very nice crisp copy. Schuster No. 242, illustrated on page 186, top row second from left and middle of middle row.
