Large landscape shaped military engraving of the 92nd Highlanders on battlements, possibly Edinburgh Castle? Titles below within the plate lie, left below image are the names of artist and engraver. C.B. Newhouse and R. G. Reeve. Minor tiny surface blemishes, possibly the plate? top corner creased but outside plate line. Printed on cream cartridge paper. Colours good. Measures; 13 x 18 inches. NOTE: *Little is mentioned in Wood's Victorian Painters, or Tooley's English Books With Coloured Plate Books on the artist himself, and the net is just as silent with no biographical details. The two did collaborate on plates in "Scenes on the Road" in 1834-5 and the artist himself is highly desired for probably the best work on Coaching "The Roadsters Album". with 16 aquatints of 1845. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
