Plain cardboard portfolio covered with cream paper, titled 'Millet et Th. Rousseau XIX Siecle, Les Tresors de la Peinture Francaise' containing 6 loose-leaf colour French art prints of paintings by Jean-Francois Millet and Theodore Rousseau from the Louvre Museum (Musee de Louvre). Ex-library stock (The College of Art, Newton Abbot as evident from a stamp). The portfolio would have contained other prints which have been - regrettably - previously removed, leaving the 6 remaining prints. The present contents are as follows: all 6 prints are lightly glued to thick cream paper which is approx. 38.5cm tall by 28 cm wide when measured in portrait view. Publisher and date of portfolio are unknown. The 6 colour art prints are as follows: Jean-Francois Millet = 1. 'L'Eglise de Greville'. Approx. size = 26.5cm across x 21cm tall (landscape). 2. = 'Femme nue Couchee'. Approx. size = 26cm across x 20.5cm tall (landscape). Small crease to bottom right of print. 3. = 'Officier de Marine'. Approx. size = 20.5cm across x. 26cm tall (portrait view). Theodore Rousseau = 1. 'Le Printemps'. Approx size = 26.5 cm across x 17cm tall (landscape view). 2. = 'Bords de la Loire'. Approx size = 26.5cm across x 17 cm tall (landscape view). 3. 'Les Chenes'. Approx. size = 26.5 cm across x 17 cm tall (landscape view). In all cases, except where described, the prints are in VGC. The thick cream paper to which they are glued has rubs, bumps and occasional chips to paper edges. The overall condition of the cardboard portfolio is Fair - cellotape repairs, general wear and tear, chips and rubs with associated marks to paper covers. Remnant of ex-library sticker to bottom of external spine area. Reverse cover paper is shelf-worn with piece missing from top right rear. Library sticker to rear end page and glue mark to front end paper. [NB: total of 6 prints.
