Rescued from a badly damaged copy of THE UNRECONSTRUCTED AMATEUR: A PICTURE BIOGRAPHY OF AMOS ALONZO STAGG by Bob Constantine (San Francisco: 1962), a tribute book issued on the occasion of the legendary football coach's 100th birthday for which Sullivan provided the illustrations. Near fine with touch of faint foxing to edges, light paper clip indent at upper edge, minor glue residue to verso (from having been previously tipped in). Sullivan produced cover designs and illustrations for a number of books and created many of the "Ladies Night" posters for San Francisco s Bohemian Club as well as illustrating the first edition of Trader Vic's BARTENDER'S GUIDE.
