This is an original pen and ink drawing by the illustrator Anne Rochester, who was a prolific artist in the early part of the last century, illustrating for books and magazines, this piece of artwork was used as such and comes from a publishers file with their reference label on the reverse. Sadly, I have not been able to find which publication it appeared in, but further research might reveal the answer. Reminiscent of her fellow women artists, Jessie M. King and Gladys Peto, but with her own distinctive style. A beautiful finely done illustration of a lady in the flower garden of a country house The paper measures 9 inches by 7 inches approx. Some marking to the paper, and just below the illustration, some creasing else in good general condition. This is a lighter item, overseas shipping costs will be reduced at checkout where possible. Would make a lovely feature framed.
