Frisius, Gemma Rainer, eigentlich Jemme Reinersz (*1508 Dokkum 1555 Löwen). Mediziner, Astronom, Mathematiker, Kartograf und Instrumentenbauer. Er schuf Globen und verbesserte mathematische und astronomische Instrumente, etwa das Astrolabium und den Gradstock.
