A fair copy in original purple cloth, lettered and blocked in gilt and black, lettered as 'The Author's Copyright Edition' on the front cover, light purple endleaves with a previous owner's stamp on the front free endleaf and repeated on the head edge. Stereotyped and printed by Stevenson & Co., Thistle Street, Edinburgh. Library Hub locates only the Edinburgh University Library copy of this edition.

We are located some 20 minutes drive from the M6, Junction 38 and therefore only a 20 mile detour from the main England-Scotland route. Appleby is a town well worth a visit, the coffee pot is always on though refreshment with �a little more authority' can be had if the Crown & Cushion in the town's market square is open! Our Bookroom is open by appointment. We will be happy to send pdf copies of our catalogue by email.
