Hand Coloured Caricature depicting 6 scenes of puns on job specifications. A Timber Merchant (seller of matches), etc. The print would have had a title along the base and the publisher (checked and it is T. Tegg) but lacks both thee details due to being trimmed to plate edge. On hand-made laid paper, light adhesion at edge on the back where once was tipped into an album page? Measures; Approx 8.5 x 12.5 inches (26 x 31 cm). Very clean. **See the GR on the postmans bag showing it is a Georgian print. Seller Inventory # 8282

We are a small, single-owner business. We have been operating on and off since 1977 and our stock is varied, leaning towards antiquarian and 19th century with the addition of original aquatint and lithographic, or woodcut engravings. Also maps and Ephemera - in fact, anything interesting on paper really. We have in stock every item we list. We do not use stock photographs, but photograph each item individually. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
