A series of 10 miniature needlebox or similar colour woodblock prints produced under license from George Baxter c1845. Lables on the reverse state "Fancy Subjects" set 73 and complete. They are on publishers original embossed cream card. each image is slightly less than 2 x 1 inch [4.4 x 2.4 cm] They are all clean and colours fresh, the mounts are a little lightly rubbed otherwise Fine. (10). RARE *First perfected as a print format by George Baxter in 1835/6 and he allowed 2 companies to produce others similar "under License" and one of these was Abraham Le Blond. Each colour added separately which meant the letter-pressing had to be absolutely perfect to achieve a clear image. Seller Inventory # A933
