41x32cm. Printed in colours. Side margins slightly frayed. Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta (1841-192), a Spanish painter who worked in the Realistic style. His later work shows signs of Rococo and Japanese influence. He was known primarily for his genre paintings and portraits of wealthy French, American, British, and Argentine patrons. Today, many of his posters are very popular with collectors. Because they are no longer copyright protected, they are often reproduced. This print is the original chromolithograph from the French magazine Figaro Illustré.
