An artist's perspective of posthumanism and AI (Visual arts)

What can artists do to shape the future of the world when artificial intelligence is threatening to overtake humanity and bring an end to the Anthropocene, the period in which humanity has had a detrimental ecological impact on the planet? During the recent coronavirus pandemic a digital integration has been occurring, as we have lived hermetic existences that were heavily dependent on technology to interact with the world around us. In this book, the aim is to explore the circumstances that have brought us to this moment in history and ask questions of the digital developments that are shaping our future, the implications and dangers of these changes, how it will affect us artists and creatives, and how we can adapt to this technological transformation to continue to positively impact human culture.
