The Danish Antiquarian Booksellers Association (ABF) was founded on 16 December 1920, and it is among the world's oldest of its kind, second only to the English association, founded in 1906, and the French association, founded in 1914.

Sellers are admitted on the basis of professionalism and previous work in the industry after approval by the association's board.

ABF belongs to the group of five founding members of the "International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).
