Christian McLaughlin

CHRISTIAN McLAUGHLIN was born and raised in Hampstead, London, and began his professional writing career while attending an exclusive day school (on scholarship) near posh Sloane Square in the fashionable Chelsea district.

Eavesdropping on his theatrical agent father's tawdry tales of decadent, drug-fueled excess involving glamorous, glittering clients like Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones and The Beatles, inspired the precocious young yarn-spinner to hand-write a horny heated serialized saga, BELGRAVIA BITCHES GONE BERSERK, combining thinly veiled versions of sinful superstars cavorting carnally with flimsily fictionalized facsimiles of his sluttiest socially significant swinging schoolmates, who kept canny crafty Christian in precious pocket money with secret subscriptions to each wicked weekly chapter (price: 50p per) crawling with coitus, cunnilingus, cock-smooching and a torrent of titillating toilet-talk to tease and torment the top-tier teens, their taste for the torrid and twisted and greed for grotty gossip igniting an illicit indecent inferno of slanderous speculation about each sex-stuffed segment's sordid surprises. No, wait -- sorry...

That's Jackie Collins.

Christian McLaughlin is the author of GLAMOURPUSS, now available in an enhanced and expanded 25th Anniversary edition exclusively on Amazon/Kindle. Upon the publication of his hit follow-up SEX TOYS OF THE GODS, championed with enthusiastic blurbs, among others, from two of his idols, director Paul Bartel and legendary playwright and drag diva Charles Busch, trendy L.A. mag Buzz Online had this to say: "It's as if Bruce Wagner's poolboy wrote a book -- and I mean that as a compliment... as hilarious as [David Sedaris]'s BARREL FEVER, and much easier to pleasure yourself to." SEX TOYS was later named one of Buzz's Top 10 Books of 1997.

And now, at long last, he's back with a brand-new third novel, CANDILAND, an unfliunching, darkly hilarious satire which proves there's just one thing scarier than children's programming... the people who make it.

Christian's lifelong passion, collecting salacious and macabre original movie posters, led to the creation of his webstore westgategallery.com, which has been covering the naked walls of cutting-edge filmmakers, famous actors and discriminating cineastes around the world since 2015, and it was tapped by the art department of Quentin Tarantino's ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD to furnish an assortment of vintage 1969 posters for on-camera use.

Christian won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2019, and his L.A. theater credits include THE PHACTS OF LIFE and, with playwright-partner Stan Zimmerman, IT'S ON! THE TV THEME SONG MUSICAL (opening this year in Los Angeles), MEET & GREET, KNIFE TO THE HEART and YES, VIRGINIA. He lives in Hollywood with Pani and Vani, two male models (see Photos).

Christian can be reached at OChrist@aol.com and is represented by Barry Krost Management (barry@barrykrost.net).
