When I was pregnant with my son in 1977, vegetarianism was considered an iffy diet, and there was no available source of information for raising a vegetarian child. So I did my own research and was fortunate enough to have a publisher friend who felt it was important to share that research with other parents. 37 years later, my son is an adult vegetarian (actually mostly vegan) with an amazing partner who is also vegetarian. They love cooking together, and make delicious nutritious meals with incredibly attractive presentations that they sometimes photo and post on Instagram. I want them to create a vegetarian/vegan cookbook, but they have jobs they love and don't want to take on that kind of a project at this point.

Now that my son has grown up, my focus has turned from nutrition to massage, and I have been working as a licensed massage therapist in a physical therapy office for the last 15 years. It is terrific job and I hope I'll still be at it when I'm 90. My latest project is working on a booklet about "birder's neck" - that painful side-effect that birders get when they look up into the trees for too long.

I am grateful that Vegetarian Baby (updated version with Christine Beard) is still available and suspect that new parents are enjoying the pro-vegetarian culture that exists today where this book is one of many on the subject. I raise my glass (a home-made Nutribullet drink) to Families and Children everywhere!
