Nathaniel S. Borenstein

Rejuvenated by a medical miracle after thinking my career and life were ending, I am on a mission to help people envision how we might work together with intelligent machines to build a better world.

Previously I spent half a century as a scientist, programmer, and entrepreneur, and was fortunate enough to have a front-row seat to the evolution of the Internet since 1980. I’ve worked mostly on the practical applications of email, human-computer interaction, and commerce, trying to understand thecomplex proess of turning technologies into successful, collaborative products that actually make people’s lives better. I've also been an activist for decades regarding issues around how information technology affects society.

I am devoting my "extra time" on Earth to helping people envision how Artificial Intelligence might help us build a better future. The first step in that new journey has been to tell my story in my book, “The Spirit of a Cyborg.”
