Janiel Wagstaff

Janiel Wagstaff is an acclaimed national literacy consultant and literacy coach at a K-6 Title I school in Utah. She's been an educator for 30 years and loves her everyday work with teachers and students. Her books are written from a practical point of view with the goal of boosting all students' literacy abilities while capitalizing on real-world purpose and the joys of reading/writing/thinking. She's known as a 'teachers'-teacher' who makes sense of relevant research in light of today's learners. Additionally, Janiel has recently translated her career-long work with young writers into a series of picture books about Stella, a precocious second grader who writes across genres ("Stella Writes").
