Tracy Mishkin

Tracy Mishkin is a career immigrant. Born in academia, she taught at Georgia College & State University and published two books on African-American literature, then disappeared, resurfacing briefly at Butler University before she came ashore in the land of non-profits with the Bureau of Jewish Education in Indianapolis.

She was spotted working retail at the Uniform House before she moved to the corporate world, where she resolves insurance problems at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. She completed an MFA in Creative Writing at Butler University in 2017.

Tracy has published three chapbooks, I Almost Didn't Make It to McDonald's (Finishing Line Press, 2014), The Night I Quit Flossing (Five Oaks Press, 2016), and This is Still Life (Brain Mill Press, 2018).

Her first full-length book of poetry, The Way The Salt Falls, is forthcoming from Main Street Rag in 2024.

She lives in Indianapolis with her family and fewer than ten cats and dogs.
