Mark Starmer

My name is Mark.

I am a dogaholic.

I live with my long suffering wife, our son, and 46 dogs.

I started to write the story of how we come to have so many hairy beings in our life in 2009 in my first dog book, 'Some Dogs Are Angels'. It's a pretty wild tale! At that time we had only 19 dogs, but it seemed like an awful lot. But our story got bigger and more bizarre, and so I wrote a sequel called 'Tails and Tribulations', and then another called 'A Piece of Heaven'.

Then these books raised so many questions about the nature of dogs that I wrote 'For Dogs Sake'; not a continuation of our epic saga, but a book to give an insight into the soul of a dog and help us to understand them better.

Before any of this, I was a perfectly normal person, working all over the world as a leadership development expert, and I wrote a European bestselling business book called 'Will the Real Leader Please Stand Up?'

These days, my life is all about our giant pack. We live in the remote interior of British Columbia, surrounded by startlingly beautiful scenery and the most wonderful wild animals.

Maybe you'll come visit us someday...
