Robert E. Vardeman

Robert E. Vardeman is the author of more than 300 novels, including nearly 200 westerns as well as science fiction, fantasy, and media tie-in fiction. A recipient of the Western Fictioneers Lifetime Achievement Award and a 2025 Will Rogers Medallion Award for Best Western Short Story, he has also earned multiple nominations from Western Fictioneers, the International Association of Media Tie-In Writers, and the New Mexico–Arizona Book Awards.

His work includes the Cenotaph Road series, the Swords of Raemllyn novels, the Jade Demons tetralogy, and tie-in fiction for Star Trek, Magic: The Gathering, Warhammer, MechWarrior, Traveller, and God of War. He lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
