John G. Neihardt

Born in a one room cabin near Sharpsburg, Illinois in 1881, John Neihardt was a visionary thinker with keen spiritual insight. Neihardt left us a rich inheritance of wisdom and a legacy of understanding. He was the author of some twenty-five volumes of poetry, fiction, and philosophy including Black Elk Speaks, A Cycle of the West, Lyric and Dramatic Poems and The River and I.
