Walter Keady - Curriculum Vitae
Walter Keady is a former Catholic priest who was born in Castlebar, County Mayo and grew up on a farm. He was employed in the Irish Civil Service before studying for the priesthood. After graduating from University College, Dublin, he studied theology at Holy Ghost Missionary College, Kimmage, and was ordained. He served as a missionary in Brazil for several years before resigning the priesthood. Then he went to the United States, where he qualified as a software engineer with IBM. After retiring from IBM he took up writing. To date he has published five novels in the genre of literary fiction, a memoir, and a collection of short stories. He has also written two plays, two screenplays, and three more novels, all of which have yet to be published. He lives in New York with his wife Jennifer.
