John E. Blyler

John Blyler was born in the Mojave Desert of California, where his father worked as an engineer on space rockets. Not surprising, John developed an early interest in science and engineering. Surprisingly, he also learned to enjoy writing about these subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences – thanks to his mom who taught humanity courses. Today, John covers the latest high-tech, R&D and even science fiction stories in blogs, magazine articles and videos. He is an experienced physicist, engineer, journalist and professor who continues to speak at major conferences and on CE.TV. He plays the piano and holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
