From Head Doctor to Book Doctor

Sylvia Cary is a licensed psychotherapist in Los Angeles, California. She has authored six published books, four traditionally published and two independently published, so she knows both worlds, proving useful in helping other authors achieve publication success. Some years ago, she downsized her therapy practice to concentrate on book editing full-time. She now runs Cary Editorial and Book Consulting. She is the recipient of the Clark Vincent Award from the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT) for her "literary contributions to the mental health profession." Her work led to the 2012 book, "The Therapist Writer: Helping Mental Health Professionals Get Published." This current updated and expanded revision is a complete overhaul with a new cover, new size, and new chapters to reflect the changes in this post-pandemic and AI-focused world.
