John Denholm Lambert

John was educated at Paisley Grammar School and graduated with an MSc from Imperial College in Engineering with Management Studies. For over twenty years he pursued a career in various industries from Aerospace to Consultancy but later moved into Education. He now lectures at a number of Universities in the U.K. in Project Management and Business. He has developed interests in writing and drama and has written a number of short plays and detective stories, often drawing on what he sees as memorable experiences in former career or leisure situations. Unable to sing a note, John was amused to find himself co-opted as an extra in a touring opera company and on another occasion surprised when an exuberant tutor on a teacher training course organised a day on a farm to illustrate the importance of 'transferable skills'. These, together with concerns over more serious issues, particularly in education, have provided a wealth of writing material.
