James (Jim) Goodwin had a successful academic career in science at Bristol University in the UK where he had a research group of fifteen research students and postdoctoral fellows. He published more than 100 research papers in peer reviewed journals and edited several books.
Jim moved to the US in 1999 to run Interfacial Dynamics Corporation, a company that he co-founded in the mid-eighties. After the acquisition of IDC, he was employed by Invitrogen-Life Technologies. During this time he authored two successful science textbooks on Colloids and Rheology. Both are now available in second editions. He retired from the biotechnology industry in 2010.
In 2010, he devoted himself to writing novels. "Hazel Johnson" is his first to be published and is now available in paperback as well as on Kindle. He has since completed twelve other, the lates of which is "Twisted Tales Omnibus" which is available in hardback or Kindle.
