Like all freelancers, Therese Boyd has had a varied writing career—from reporting for local newspapers and magazines, and publishing her first book, The Best Places You’ve Never Seen: Pennsylvania’s Small Museums—to producing singer/songwriter Steve Forbert’s newsletter for 10 years. Her most recent assignment is writing the research magazine at Penn State Altoona. When not writing, she edits for Penn State Press. She has taught classes on memoir writing and helped guide Levittown civil rights icon Daisy Myers's memoir, Sticks 'n' Stones. Acting as Steve Forbert’s editor and sounding board on Big City Cat: My Life in Folk Rock was “a whole lot of fun and a career highlight.”
