John King is the author of ten novels – The Football Factory, Headhunters, England Away, Human Punk, White Trash, The Prison House, Skinheads, The Liberal Politics Of Adolf Hitler, Slaughterhouse Prayer and London Country – and three novellas – The Beasts Of Brussels, Grand Union and Peekaboo Bosh.
The Football Factory has been adapted for the theatre and as a high-profile film, with his books widely translated abroad. He has written short stories and non-fiction for various publications, with articles appearing in the likes of the New Statesman, Le Monde and La Repubblica. He edits the fiction journal Verbal and lives in London.
