Robert W. Maloy

Robert W. Maloy is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Teacher Education and Curriculum Studies in the College of Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he coordinates the history and political science teacher education programs.

His research focuses on technology and educational change, teacher education, and student writing and learning. He is co-author of 6 books. His wiki, resourcesforhistoryteachers, has been a finalist for Best Educational Wiki 2014, 2013, and 2011 from the Edublog Awards. It received a 2010 WEBBIE award from the Massachusetts Computing Using Educators organization.

He co-directs the TEAMS Tutoring Project, a civic engagement/service learning initiative where University students provide academic tutoring to culturally and linguistically diverse students in public schools throughout the Connecticut River Valley region of western Massachusetts.

Robert has received the University of Massachusetts "Distinguished Teaching Award" (2010), the "President's Award for Public Service" (2004), the School of Education "Outstanding Teacher Award" (2004) and the "Chancellor's Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Community Service" (1998 and 1993).
