Paul V. Dutton (PhD) is Professor of History and Health Sciences and Principal Faculty of Interdisciplinary Health at Northern Arizona University.
He received his BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz, MA from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, and PhD from the University of California, San Diego.
His previous posts include founding director of the Interdisciplinary Health Policy Institute and research fellowships at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the Brookings Institution, the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality, the American Philosophical Society, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and Interdisciplinary Fulbright Fellow to France. His op-ed writings have appeared in the Boston Globe, International Herald Tribune, and New York Times.
