Paul James

Dr Paul James is Professor of Globalization and Cultural Diversity at the University of Western Sydney. He is the former Director of the UN Global Compact Cities Programme (2007-2014), and author or editor of over 30 books including most importantly, Globalism, Nationalism, Tribalism (2006) and Globalization Matters (2019). He has been an advisor to a number of agencies and governments including the Helsinki Process, the Canadian Prime Minister's G20 Forum, and the Commission on Reception, Truth and Reconciliation in East Timor. His work for the Papua New Guinea Minister for Community Development became the basis for their Integrated Community Development Policy. His work on the Circles of Sustainability project is now used by many cities around the world.
