Matthew Miller

Matthew (palmsolo) Miller begin using mobile devices back in 1997 and has been writing online for Geek.com and then ZDNet since 2001. He is a professional engineer and naval architect in Seattle who served for 12 years in the U.S. Coast Guard after graduating from the USCG Academy in 1993.

Matthew began writing daily news posts and conducting reviews for Geek.com in 2001. He co-authored the Master Visually 2003 book in 2004. In 2006 he launched The Mobile Gadgeteer technical blog on ZDNet and then expanded to his Smartphone & Cell Phones blog (blogs.zdnet.com/cell-phones) as the smartphone market took off and required a site focused just on mobile phones. Matthew is also a husband to his beautiful wife of over 18 years, Dayna, and a father to his three daughters, Danika, Maloree, and Kari. He enjoys playing and coaching sports, camping with the family, and catching all the latest movies.
