Ray Kiely

Who am I. Umm. just some regular guy really. I once had hair way past my shoulders but I have more in common with a well worn rug these days. I like exercise but with more of an academic rather than a practical interest.

I am a sceptic but not a cynic. (Please check out the definitions if you are not clear about the differences.)

I'm not racist or homophobic, at least not intentionally, although, I’m sure I have probably crossed the line through ignorance and lack of thought on occasions.

I believe in equal rights for all (regardless of gender/citizenship, etc.).

I'm not a vegetarian although I have pets. (Think about that one.)

I'm agnostic with a strong leaning towards atheism (in fact, I lean so far over that I’m practically parallel with the floor)

I believe that church and state should be separate and that science is real (there are no “alternative facts”).

I'm no more a philosopher than anyone else but I've written a book on morality, Probably a bit cheeky in a way or maybe not. I think what I write is accessible and easy to read.

I'm a liberal. If you're a conservative you're going to hate me. Alternatively, you could buy my book ("Everyday Ethics") and maybe get an alternative view into many moral and ethical stances that you have. It may prove you right or, OMG, it may revise some of your views.
