Christopher Schildt grew up in Indialantic, on the barrier island off the coast of Florida, where his lifelong connection to the ocean began. A published author of diverse American stories, he has released two novels with Simon & Schuster that reimagined classic tales for modern audiences—collaborating with Universal Studios and the families of horror icons Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi to breathe new life into Frankenstein and Dracula. His expanding body of work includes the novella An American Christmas Carol, The Best Years of Our Lives, and Krazy Peeple. An avid, lifelong surfer who has caught waves on both American coasts and in Australia, Christopher is a dedicated member of the Florida Surfing Association and the Surfing Santas of Cocoa Beach. He currently lives in Florida with his best friend, an Australian Shepherd named Georgie.
