Jim Spaulding

Jim died in September 2020. He was an amazing man, a Renaissance man, always curious, always searching, always creating, always listening, always engaged. He believed that Space was indeed the next frontier and that we are NOT alone. And if we are not alone, he was full of questions. Who are we? Who is out there? What do they believe? His last book, "The Girl in the Boys Club" is a semi-autobiographical adult mystery. This time he turned his attention to another curiosity…insanity. Marci, the main character, is based on a childhood friend who was clearly mentally ill. Here, he delves deep into Marci’s history trying to understand how she got that way and why nobody could or would help her. The answers are shocking.

Jim’s first book, “Rebuilding Rose: The Tale of an Atkins Packet Sloop” is available in hardcover only. Over six years, the Spauldings, along with a colorful cast of family and friends, faithfully restored the Atkins-design Rose to its original beauty. This is their engaging story.
