Maxwell A. Cameron

Maxwell A. Cameron (PhD Berkeley, 1989) teaches at the University of British Columbia in the Department of Political Science and the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs. He founded the Summer Institute for Future Legislators, a training program for aspiring politicians. His research and teaching focuses on problems of democracy and constitutionalism. His publications include Challenges to Democracy in the Andes (Boulder: Lynne Rienner Publishers), Political Institutions and Practical Wisdom (New York: Oxford University Press, 2018) and Strong Constitutions: Social-Cognitive Origins of the Separation of Powers (New York: Oxford University Press, 2013).
