Patrick J. Walsh

Patrick J. Walsh is the author of two books: the three volume Spaceflight: A Historical Encyclopedia (published in 2010 by Greenwood Press / ABC-CLIO Inc.) and Echoes Among The Stars: A Short History of the U.S. Space Program (2000, M.E. Sharpe Inc.).

Pat has worked as an independent journalist for decades, writing everything from technical articles for trade magazines to music journalism for regional and local magazines and newspapers. He has published hundreds of paid, bylined articles in print publications and online, and he has also taught writing at the university level. His writing and teaching interests led him to the research that resulted in his first two books.

He has most recently branched out into video production, and is currently producing the web documentary series "Five Minutes in Space," which focuses on pivotal moments in particular space missions.
