Tom Viola

Currently living in Palm Bay,Florida. I was born in Brooklyn, NY in April, 1950. As a child I attended Annunciation Catholic Elementary School from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Afterwards my family moved to Middle Village, Queens, where I attended Christ the King, HS and then Queens College. I served in the US Army Reserves from 1969 to 1975. I received my Master's Degree in International Law and Organization from Columbia University. I then became a Permanent Member of the United States Delegation to the United Nations. In 1981 I became Deputy Press Secretary to New York State Governor Hugh L. Carey, and then Housing Press Secretary for NYS Governor Maro M. Cuomo. In 1994 I became Vice President of the Manufacturing Jewerlers and Silversmiths of America in Providence, Rhode Island.

I have two children: Alexis (born 1982) and Andrew (born 1984). Andrew is father to my two grandchildren: Maisie and Nora.

I have written and illustrated five graphic novels: Or Die Trying, Fang and Claw, Espiratu Mali, New Beginnings and The Prince and the Pirates.
