David A. Anderson

David A. Anderson is the Paul G. Blazer Professor of Business and Economics at Centre College. He received a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Duke University. He earned a graduate certificate in innovation and entrepreneurship from the Harvard Extension School and an M.B.A. from the University of the People. He served on the National Advisory Board for the AP Business and Personal Finance Course and has participated in the AP Economics programs and leadership since 1994. His books include Business with Personal Finance for the AP Course, The Light in the Library Basement, Survey of Economics, Environmental Economics and Natural Resource Management, and Economics for the AP Course. His research topics include stock markets, wages, unemployment compensation, environmental issues, childbirth modalities, pedagogy, and the cost of crime. He loves teaching about business, personal finance, and economics, and has won awards for excellence and innovation in the classroom.
