Katherine Sorrell

Katherine Sorrell is a journalist and author who specialises in interiors, lifestyle and craft. She trained in news journalism and spent several years covering dog shows and jumble sales on a local paper before doing stints in TV research, sub-editing and even on a cartoon newspaper (brilliant but sadly short-lived). She finally found her niche when she took a job at Elle Decoration magazine, which led to a freelance career writing for many of the UK's leading interiors titles and an impressive range of books. After a very happy few years as features editor of Homes & Gardens magazine, Katherine downshifted in 2002 and now lives with her family in Cornwall, where she continues to write magazine features and books.
