David Mosser

Prior to his appointment as senior pastor of First United Methodist Church of Arlington, Rev. David Neil Mosser served several parishes including both Georgetown and Graham, TX. He preaches most sanctuary worship services and supervises the professional staff.

Mosser represents FUMC of Arlington in the community by serving on AMH's Medical Ethics Committee, as well as the city's Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Area Steering Committee.

Beside these primary responsibilities, Mosser also leads Bible studies and lectures in local churches on various ecclesial topics. In addition, he directs preaching workshops for several Christian denominations.

Mosser has received degrees from Southern Methodist University, Perkins School of Theology, and the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a Ph.D. in the academic discipline of rhetoric.

Mosser is an adjunct preaching professor at the Perkins School of Theology and teaches a multicultural "Introduction to Philosophy" at Navarro College (Midlothian, TX campus). Mosser also taught at the Gbranga School of Theology in Liberia, West Africa--an area which the Arlington congregation has a deep mission awareness.

David and his wife, Helen, live on ten acres in Midlothian, TX where Helen raises horses. They have three children and two grandchildren.
