Nick Cook

Nick Cook is a bestselling author, award-winning journalist, and investigator of the hidden forces shaping our world.

He is best known for The Hunt for Zero Point, a cult classic that exposed the shadowy frontier of anti-gravity research and black-budget defense programs. First published in 2001, the book continues to attract readers around the world, from filmmakers and intelligence analysts to truth-seekers of every kind.

Cook’s 2019 novel, The Grid, was named a London Times Book of the Year. A prescient thriller about the manipulation of perception through surveillance, psychology, and control systems, it anticipated many of today’s most urgent debates about technology, freedom, and reality itself.

Earlier in his career, Cook established himself at Jane’s Defence Weekly, where he served as Aerospace Editor and created the influential “Technology Audit” series benchmarking the world’s military-industrial R&D efforts. His work has since expanded across non-fiction, fiction, and ghostwriting - including multiple London Sunday Times Top Ten bestsellers.

Today, Cook continues his investigations at the frontier of science, spirit, and control. His forthcoming work builds on decades of research to explore one central question: are we trapped in systems of control - or awakening through them?

He lives in London.

If you’re new to Nick’s work, The Hunt for Zero Point and The Grid offer two powerful entry points. Zero Point is the cult investigative classic that exposed the hidden frontier of anti-gravity research and black-budget defense programs. The Grid is a prescient global thriller - a London Times Thriller of the Year, endorsed by Terry Hayes (I Am Pilgrim) - exploring surveillance, control, consciousness and the manipulation of reality.

Together, they reveal two sides of the same question: how much of the world we live in is shaped by systems of control, and how much by the possibility of awakening?
