Peter Bance

Peter Bance is an independent researcher, biographer, author and art collector. He has authored eight books, three of which are based on the family of Maharajah Duleep Singh, the last ruler of the Punjab. Bance has written for the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, The Times, The Wallace Collection, Bristol University, and King’s College His research has featured in numerous BBC and C4 documentaries, and has appeared in the Antiques Road Trip and BBC Antiques Roadshow. His latest publication, titled 'The Last Royals of Lahore' coincides with the 2026 exhibition at Kensington Palace 'Princesses of Punjab' in which Bance has loaned a number of objects from his art collection.
