Lars Marius Garshol

I am an independent beer researcher, and have published several books and research papers about beer. My speciality is farmhouse brewing -- that is, the beer that farmers in Europe brewed for their own use from their own grain according to ancient tradition. I have travelled widely in Europe to interview and brew with traditional farmhouse brewers, and collect their yeast. I have also collected documents from archives in eight different countries. I am perhaps best known for my work on kveik, a Norwegian farmhouse yeast.
