Dani Sinclair

Pat Gagne has had a love affair with books ever since she can remember. Writing as Dani Sinclair, she penned 27 romantic suspense novels for Harlequin Books and has been published all over the world. A two time RITA finalist, she recently retired from Harlequin, but she should have known better. As an avid reader all her life, she had written stories for fun long before she was published and she continued to write for her own amusement after she stopped worrying over deadlines.

When her oldest son approached her with an idea for a young adult fantasy novel, she agreed to help Chip write his story. She had always enjoyed fantasy and science fiction as a reader, but as a writer, this was far from her comfort zone. Nevertheless, the collaboration turned out to be enormous fun. Chip's idea turned into a series of three books set on Earth and on M'atoi - a realm of dragons, elves and magic.

Married to her husband for forty-seven years, she's held a variety of jobs while raising two wonderful sons, along with a dog, a number of cats, and an assortment of other small critters, finned, furred and winged. She is currently owned by three rescue cats and has spent much of her life as an active volunteer for cat rescue organizations. Ironically, it was Chip who created the character of Trouble and named her. She thought Trouble was an odd name for a cat - until her last pair of kitten fosters. Trouble is a perfectly suitable name for some cats.
