Alda’s career story of her passion for entertaining with her company Alda’s Sentimental Living as an elegant lifestyle company with a love for antiques, Forever Soaps, gourmet food, bath & body, with a focus on the ceremony of tea.

Her vision and love of vintage style and flea-market finds have struck a chord with customers, who have found her comfortable, relaxed approach to entertaining both reassuring and achievable. She has educated and inspired people through a series of books, including "A Table of Grace", Hats Off to Tea, SouthernTeatime Pleasures, Sentimental Living, Beyond Breast Cancer, My Front Porch, Gentle Art of Hospitality, Always Sisters, Listen to the Quiet, A Heart Full of Happiness, The Christmas Guest and Velvet Noses, ( a sweet book about her love of horses).

Television appearances on QVC and her lifestyle show, “Sentimental Living “ featured a focus on décor, cooking and gardening as Writer, Executive Producer, creative director, and host.

The Alda’s company was sold in 2009 to Hoffman media- a role she left to begin her next endeavor in building a wedding focused business. She and her husband launched a highly acclaimed wedding venue business by both the Knot and Wedding Wire. Their historic lakeside home is the inspiration for her all-inclusive creative weddings that include the bride arriving via horse and carriage, dove release, vintage cars, and hand-built wooden canoes for a groom’s arrival to the altar with the evening ending in fireworks.

Designer, producer, author, and professional wedding planner Alda Ellis has launched several successful products into the fine gifts and home decor markets over the course of her lengthy career. Today, Alda and her husband are the owners of Alda’s Magnolia Hill, a historic and nationally recognized, award winning wedding venue located in Little Rock, Arkansas.
